Operation
What?
The Turtle Creek Sediment Basin Drain is a device that floats atop the water in a sediment basin or detention pond. It drains the least sediment laden water as compared to discharging the sediment dense water present at the bottom of the basin.
Troubleshooting
Our Dome Skimmer Head is designed to reduce floating debris on the water surface from entering the drainpipe.
Design
The Turtle Creek Sediment Basin Drain was designed with the contractor in mind. SCH-40 to SDR-35 is light weight with transition fittings included. One stick of SDR-35 sewer pipe and a manhole boot or grout is all that is required in addition to the skimmer.
